Dear ATAP, Engineering, and ALS-U colleagues,
This is a reminder that on Thursday, March 28, 2019, ATAP, Engineering, and ALS-U* will be holding our annual Safety Day.
As in previous years, Safety Day will be an all-hands, all-day, all-hazards event whose mission is “Clean Labs, Clean Shops, Clean Offices,” reflecting a primary emphasis on good housekeeping and identification of hazards in common areas, offices, labs, and shops. As in the past, we will provide bins and hoppers to collect materials for disposal and recycling.
Update: Detailed instructions, including a list of disposal / recycling locations, self-assessment (QUEST) team assignments and checklists, and management walkaround assignments and checklists, are now posted at https://atap.lbl.gov/2019safetyday/#resources
Please reserve Thursday, March 28 for this highly beneficial investment in our top priority, safety. If you have any questions, please contact:
• ATAP: Pat Thomas, pmthomas@lbl.gov, 510-486-6098 or 510-599-5579
• Engineering: Herb Toor, hstoor@lbl.gov, 510-486-5918
• ALS-U: David Rodgers, derodgers@lbl.gov, 510-486-7675 or 510-289-9328
We look forward to seeing you there.
With best regards,
