Marco Venturini is a physicist in the Advanced Light Source (ALS) accelerator physics group (APG). For the last few years he has been working on the physics design of the ALS upgrade to a 4th generation light source, coordinating the beam-physics activities. Before joining the ALS APG, he was the lead of the Center for Beam Physics (CBP) theory group. He contributed to LCLS-II, NGLS, Elettra FERMI, CESR-TA, the LHC Luminosity Upgrade, and the design studies for the International Linear Collider.
