BeamNetUS is a network of facilities dedicated to advancing particle accelerator research and technology by offering access to beam test facilities within the U.S. Department of Energy’s national laboratory complex. It enables users to perform exploratory tests and establish new collaborations.

The network is accepting proposals for access to facilities, including charged particle beams and infrastructure for particle accelerator component R&D at Argonne National Laboratory, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, and Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility.

The deadline for proposals is November 30, 2025. Click here for more information on how to apply.

Facilities at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) that are part of BeamNetUS include HiRES, a facility for ultrafast electron diffraction, and the Berkeley Lab Laser Accelerator (BELLA) Center’s Hundred-Terawatt Thomson (HTT) and the BELLA Hundred-Terawatt Undulator (HTU) laser systems, which offer the capability to accelerate high-brightness electron beams in compact plasma targets.
