On January 15, 2024, the nation celebrated and honored the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. The only federal holiday observed as a national day of service, it honors the memory of Dr. King and how he transformed our nation through his courageous fight for civil rights and his vision for a just, equitable, and equal society in which people “will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

This same vision lies at the core of the Lab’s values. It inspires our principles of IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity, and accountability) and is integrated into the Lab’s core values of respect, trust, innovation, team science, and service.

You can learn more about practicing anti-racism through the Lab’s Equity Reset program.
