Berkeley Lab has a proud tradition of supporting veterans from the U.S. armed forces. On Monday, November 4, 2024, Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG) representatives raised a banner outside Building 65 to celebrate Veteran’s Day.

On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., VERG and the Lab’s Engineering IDEA Committee representatives held a Veterans Appreciation Potluck Lunch in building 91. The event included the presentation of colors and the National Anthem, an introduction and welcome, sharing sea stories and Lab experiences, a brief discussion of IDEA principles, and a potluck lunch.
