In the last few years, we have held a successful Multi-Lab Safety Week event in collaboration with our sister labs. This year, we once again had a joint Multi-Lab activity with the Magnet Division, the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider Accelerator Upgrade Project, and other Projects at Fermilab, and with the Discovery Technologies Directorate at Brookhaven National Laboratory, the Accelerator Systems Division at Argonne National Laboratory, and the Accelerator Directorate at SLAC National Laboratory, joining ATAP. Our colleagues from the Berkeley Lab SES and Facilities Divisions also joined ATAP in this annual event.

Safety Week has become a successful tradition in ATAP since 2015. This year, our overall theme is “Safety during Experimental Planning and On-Boarding” with an emphasis on the importance of training our stakeholders – employees, students, sub-contractors, and affiliates before performing work. Multi-Lab Safety Week is an all-hands, all-hazards event with ongoing learning and education opportunities. During this annual event, ATAP Programs set aside times that work best for them to participate in specific safety activities.

The packed week concluded on June 12 with the Safety During Emergencies Fair. The fair offered attendees the opportunity to participate in fun activities while gaining the knowledge and skills to keep themselves, their colleagues, and their families safe.

A big thank you to everyone who helped organize another successful Multi-Lab Safety Week.
