As of July 1, 2023, all research projects and programs at the Lab that are sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, external funders, or through the Laboratory Directed Research and Development program require a data management plan (DMP). Many other research funders also require a DMP.

To help researchers create DMPs, the Research Compliance Office has created a new webpage for Research Data Management. This page includes DMP resources, tools, policy, and contact information. You will also find the new DMP Resource Guide, which includes helpful resources for each of the data management plan requirements.
