This video introduces the Multi-Office Accelerator Team (MOAT) and Osprey, the agentic AI platform MOAT built in response to the Department of Energy (DOE)’s Genesis Mission. MOAT is a multi-lab effort to bring agentic AI to DOE’s particle accelerators.

The video shows an operator querying a control system in plain language—”Show me beam position correlations from sector 4 today”—while Osprey identifies the relevant parameters, retrieves archived data, writes and runs the analysis, and returns the result. What began as a single researcher’s prototype now runs across eight DOE accelerator facilities—a step toward AI-assisted design and autonomous operation.
