Axel Huebl

Axel Huebl works at the interfaces of HPC, AI/ML, laser-plasma physics, and particle accelerator research. He is the lead software architect of the Beam, Plasma & Accelerator Simulation Toolkit (BLAST) and invented the openPMD metadata standard. He received his physics Ph.D. summa cum laude (with highest distinctions) from Technical University Dresden in 2019.
